European Financials Analyst – Long/Short Equity – London (UK)
A $1bn AUM hedge fund is seeking an investment analyst to assist the team generate and monitor stock recommendations across the European Financials industry. The firm has been employing a bottom-up fundamental approach to investing since 1994, with offices in New York and London. The successful candidate will take full ownership of their recommendations over time.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct deep fundamental research including analysis of company filings and industry data.
- Build and maintain bottom-up financial models and databases to support investment ideas.
- Develop and confidently articulate long/short recommendations.
- Engage with company management teams and sell-side analysts.
What We’re Looking For
- 2-4 years of work experience in asset management, equity research, or investment banking.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university.
- Proven experience in financial modelling and Excel.
- Knowledge of the European financial sector.
- Detail oriented, proactive, and inquisitive mindset.
- Genuine intellectual curiosity about businesses and financial markets.
- Clear, structured communication – both written and verbal. English proficiency is required.
