Overview

We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Civil Litigation Solicitor to join our clients growing team based in Central London. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of civil litigation matters and provide high-quality legal advice to a diverse client base, including individuals, SMEs, and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied caseload of civil litigation matters from inception to resolution
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and other legal documentation
  • Conducting legal research and providing clear, strategic advice to clients
  • Handling matters including (but not limited to):
  • Contractual disputes
  • Property litigation
  • Professional negligence claims
  • Debt recovery
  • Shareholder and partnership disputes
  • Conducting negotiations and representing clients at mediations and settlement meetings
  • Instructing Counsel and attending court hearings where appropriate
  • Ensuring compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)
  • Maintaining accurate file management and billing records
  • Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
  • NQE – 5 Years PQE
  • Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
  • Experience managing cases independently
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Strong client care and communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach

Desirable

  • Experience with High Court litigation
  • Advocacy experience
  • Experience with ADR, including mediation
  • Existing client following (advantageous but not essential)
