Stanton House are exclusively retained to appoint a transformational Head of Commercial Finance. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with genuine influence – shaping and embedding a high-performing finance business partnering function across a multi-billion-pound enterprise undergoing major transformation.
The Role
You will lead a sizeable commercial finance function (~50 people), redefining how finance partners with the wider business. This is not a “steady-state” leadership role – it’s about building structure, accountability, capability, and consistency within a function that sits at the heart of major infrastructure, operational, and investment programmes.
Key focus areas include
- Building a best-in‑class business partnering model
- Driving organisational design and capability uplift
- Embedding finance into strategic decision‑making
- Strengthening governance, controls, and accountability
- Influencing senior stakeholders across a highly complex environment
We are looking for a proven finance leader with
- Strong commercial finance / FP&A leadership experience in a large and complex business
- A track record in transformation or function build environments
- Experience leading large, complex teams
- Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing capability
- Backgrounds in infrastructure, manufacturing, engineering, or similarly complex operational environments
