Senior Legal Counsel (Interim) – Financial Markets

London (Hybrid) | Up to £350/day (inside IR35) | Contract to March 2027

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior in-house position at the intersection of financial markets and the public sector – working on complex, market-facing activity that you won’t typically see in standard commercial roles.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be operating as a key legal adviser, working across:

• Debt capital markets, bonds and treasury activity
• Derivatives and financial instruments (ISDA / GMRA exposure highly valued)
• Financial services regulation and market developments
• Public law and legislative frameworks
• Lending, fund management and commercial contracts

You’ll also

• Support high-profile debt issuance programmes
• Advise on strategic, fast-moving projects
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across risk, finance and leadership

• Hybrid working (London-based)
• SC clearance required (or willingness to obtain)
