Senior Business Analyst – Equity Derivatives & Structured Products

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office)

A leading financial technology business is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join its growing Product team.

The successful candidate will act as the bridge between clients, product, technology, and operations teams, ensuring business requirements are translated into scalable solutions that deliver real value to end users.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a primary point of contact for clients on product and functional matters.
• Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into user stories and functional specifications.
• Work closely with Product Managers to prioritise development backlogs and roadmap initiatives.
• Partner with engineering, QA and operations teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Run product demonstrations and workshops with prospects and existing clients.
• Support client onboarding, implementation and post go-live activities.
• Manage client integrations, including API connectivity and workflow enhancements.
• Coordinate testing activities and support user acceptance testing.
• Analyse client and business data to create meaningful reports and insights.
• Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring client feedback influences product development.
• Support proof-of-concept initiatives and innovation projects.

Required Experience

• Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Owner or similar role within financial services or financial technology.
• Strong understanding of OTC derivatives, structured products, electronic trading or capital markets.
• Experience working directly with institutional clients, trading desks, liquidity providers or wealth management firms.
• Ability to discuss both business and technical concepts, including APIs, FIX connectivity and trading workflows.
• Experience gathering requirements and working within Agile development environments.
• Knowledge of electronic trading platforms, RFQ workflows or derivatives trading systems.
• Experience supporting client onboarding and integration projects.
• Exposure to wealth management, structured products or investment products.
• Understanding of financial market regulations and market structure.
