Clinical Leader (Day Theatres – Endoscopy)

Oxford Hospital – Nursing – Permanent contract – Part time

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience

30 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Conduct and organise the Clinical Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, including the smooth running of the theatre lists, organising booking forms and assisting sessions in theatres.
• Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, which include Endoscopy, General, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology.
• Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement and ensuring policy and procedure compliance to enhance patient care and service delivery.
• Maintain extensive knowledge for dealing with audits and equipment.
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment.

Qualifications

Registered with the appropriate governing body and possessing the relevant qualifications and post‑registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. Demonstrates strong clinical leadership, communication, organisational and team‑working skills with knowledge of smoothly running department operations, equipment, audits, and safety governance.
