Position Summary: As a Social Work Practice Supervisor you will support Lead Practitioners and Team Managers to ensure high‑quality, needs‑led assessments and timely support for children and families across Birmingham. You will develop robust partnerships with other teams and external agencies such as police, health, schools and voluntary organisations.
Responsibilities
- Provide reflective supervision and casework oversight.
- Support the development and delivery of multi‑agency Family Help plans (CIN).
- Chair multi‑agency meetings, quality‑assure and authorise assessments and reports.
- Promote the voice of the child and ensure their views shape their care.
- Champion the practice model “Connections Count” and uphold values of equality, diversity and inclusion.
Qualifications
- A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
- Extensive experience working with vulnerable children and families.
- Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding and multi‑agency working.
- Excellent communication, analytical and supervisory skills.
- A commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development.
