Java Developer

We are hiring for Java Developer at Glasgow, UK – 2-3 days per week Onsite

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable applications. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Java technologies, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code
• Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (frontend, QA, DevOps)
• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Work with databases to design and optimize queries

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in Core Java (Java 8 or above)
• Proficiency in Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)
• Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration
• Familiarity with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Experience with Git/version control systems
• Familiarity with build tools (Maven/Gradle)
