Principal Supportability Engineer
The role is based in Leicester or Bristol, with a hybrid working arrangement of two days in the office and three days working from home. The position is a full‑time, permanent role of 37 hours per week.

As Principal Supportability Engineer you will lead the delivery of Integrated Product Support across complex nuclear and defence assets, influencing design decisions early to embed reliability, maintainability, availability and long‑term supportability into the systems.
Day‑to‑day Responsibilities
- Lead reliability, maintainability and availability analysis to support complex engineering systems
- Develop Integrated Product Support strategies, claims, arguments and supporting evidence
- Advise design and engineering teams to improve asset availability and through‑life supportability
- Communicate complex technical information clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Essential Experience
- Proven experience delivering reliability, maintainability and availability analysis within complex engineering environments
- Strong background in Integrated Product Support or Integrated Logistics Support disciplines
- Experience producing and substantiating supportability claims, arguments and evidence
- Practical knowledge of reliability modelling tools and analytical techniques
- Ability to influence stakeholders and explain complex engineering concepts with clarity
Qualifications
- Degree, or equivalent experience, in a STEM discipline such as mechanical, electrical, systems, data or mathematics
- Professional registration, or active progression towards registration, with a recognised engineering institution
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) clearance.
