Technical Inside Sales Engineer – Lube & Hydraulic (d/f/m)

Role Overview

Within the Energy+ division, the Technical Inside Sales Engineer will provide technical and product expertise to sales representatives, resellers, and customers during the sales process. The role supports the commercial sales team through product recommendations and solution generation.

This position reports to the Technical Solutions Manager and is part of the Western Europe Technical Solutions Team located in Portsmouth (UK). The role is on-site.

In This Role

• Support the commercial sales team in developing and closing new business.
• Understand client requirements and collaborate with the Sales team to establish key technical differentiators and use technical value proposition.
• Work closely with other support departments including Pall Engineering and suppliers to ensure readiness of the quotation and costing solution and drive customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical direction and supporting documentation to the sales force to resolve customer needs.

Essential Job Functions

• Establish and maintain sales and key customer relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor and ensuring design and costing delivery commitments.
• Understand client RFQs and scope requirements, and communicate the Pall value proposition in coordination with sales.
• Select the appropriate technology, sizing and design to fit client specifications, working closely with suppliers, sourcing, operations or engineering to develop an optimized costing solution.
• Provide technical support to customers, addressing clarifications and concerns and offering innovative and customized solutions.
• Drive project progress for standard solutions, coordinating with customers, suppliers and internal departments.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree minimum in Hydraulics, Fluid Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 to 7 years of experience on projects in Oil Hydraulic, Automotive, Power Generation, or Nuclear markets.
• Fluent in English.
• Proficient in Outlook, SAP, Sales Force, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel within Europe, approximately twice a year.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technical support within industrial processes or filtration.
• Fluent in another European language.
