Senior Residential Support Worker
Pear Tree Cottage is a two bedroom home, ensuring a small, calm and therapeutic environment for looked after children between the ages of 6 and 18. We’re looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Preston.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and emotional support to children in a safe, nurturing space.
- Help shape brighter futures through consistency, compassion, and resilience.
- Support the home manager with the smooth running of the home, taking responsibility and providing supervisory support to the home’s care workers.
What We Need From You
- A minimum of 12 months experience in Children’s Residential Care.
- A Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare (or close to completion).
- A full UK driving licence – essential for transporting young people and attending external meetings.
- A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to care.
- A thorough knowledge of the legislation and regulations surrounding children’s care.
- Be able to work shift patterns including sleep ins (Rota plan given in advance but likely to be 2 on 4 off).
