Physiotherapy Assistant (Bank) – Mount Alvernia Hospital – Bank Shifts – Salary: Up to £14.50 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis; you will supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during annual leave or absence.
Duties Of This Role Include
- Assist with the delivery of physiotherapy interventions as directed by a registered Physiotherapist.
- Support patients with prescribed exercises, mobility practice, and therapeutic activities in a safe and compassionate manner.
- Set up and prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring all equipment is safe, clean, and ready for use.
- Provide reassurance and motivation to patients during therapy, helping build confidence and engagement.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, stock checks, and preparation of therapy materials.
- Follow all relevant health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding procedures.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
- Experience working in a healthcare, care, or rehabilitation setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A caring, patient‑focused approach and commitment to promoting independence.
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
