About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Leeds, a Category B men’s prison housing males aged 21+.

Join a busy pharmacy team of 18 with a great PPG pathway for additional learning and development opportunities.

Hours

37.5 hours a week, working 07:00-16:00. Usual shift times (3-4 per week) with one 07:00-21:00 shift every other week and 08:00-16:00 shift every other weekend.

Salary

Full time annual salary up to £41,658 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide outstanding quality-based patient-centred care, seeking, listening to, and acting on patient feedback to personalise care.
  • Maintain safe and secure medicines management service, ensuring patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard and SOPs are followed.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care within the scope of professional standards, from timely administration of medicines to analysing cost-effective prescribing.
  • Work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

What We’ll Look For in You

We are looking for caring, compassionate but also driven professionals who can help us drive our vision for fair and inclusive healthcare access to all.

  • NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC, or equivalent
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Up-to-date with CPD
  • Relevant post-qualification pharmacy experience
  • General GCSE education or equivalent
  • Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment. Secure environments are challenging yet rewarding, offering opportunities to develop existing healthcare skills and learn new skills daily.
