About The Role

As an NTU Plumber, you will be part of the in‑house Estates team that supports and enables the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the university estate.

The role is varied and diverse, with day‑to‑day duties ranging from ensuring that the estate is safe and operational, to supporting the delivery of key University events such as open days and graduation ceremonies.

Salary: £28,608 – £32,089 per annum. Full‑time permanent contract. 2 vacancies.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake fault finding, routine and emergency maintenance tasks and repairs on a full range of plumbing, heating, ventilation and domestic services systems in all university buildings.
  • Perform plumbing, heating, ventilation and domestic services installation work.
  • Support the delivery of minor works projects.
  • Carry out statutory inspections.
  • Assist in the set‑up and delivery of key university events such as open days, graduation and clearing.
