Role Overview
Fixed‑term or second‑ment opportunity for 12 months with the Substance Use Service (CADS) as a Band 4 Substance Use Worker.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment and interventions to adults aged 16 years and over with moderate to severe complex substance use issues and mental health problems.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with a wide range of professionals to improve service delivery.
- Work autonomously within the locality while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in ongoing supervision and professional development sessions.
- Travel across the service delivery area as required.
Qualifications
- Experience with adults who have moderate to severe substance use and co‑existing mental health difficulties.
- Demonstrated interest in substance use and experience of multi‑agency, psycho‑social models of recovery.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, enthusiastic, innovative, and dedicated to ongoing professional development.
- Legal requirement to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
