YOUR ROLE
Our e-commerce operation based in Derby, East Midlands Gateway, provides essential logistic services such as inbound and outbound customer fulfilment and value-added services. We have an exciting opportunity for a meticulous Warehouse Coordinator to join the team. This pivotal role will support the Shift Manager with daily operational activities, ensuring all operational tasks are allocated and completed efficiently and effectively to meet operational demand and customer satisfaction.
We are hiring Warehouse Coordinators across multiple shift patterns, including:
- Monday–Friday (08:00–16:00 or 16:00–00:00)
- Rotating 4 on/3 off or 3 on/4 off schedules (Sunday–Wednesday or Sunday–Tuesday) with shifts of 08:00–20:00 or 12:00–00:00.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Shift Manager, you will ensure all operational tasks are allocated and carried out to the highest standard, with a focus on team performance and team KPIs. You will actively promote a culture of health and safety across the site, ensuring regulations are adhered to and accidents and incidents are reported and recorded. You will coordinate and communicate with shift colleagues regularly, supporting the Shift Manager with shift briefs, attendance and performance reporting, resolving operational issues, reviewing planned labour, and ensuring sufficient utilisation of colleagues. You will also ensure all colleagues are trained and recommend opportunities for upskilling and development.
While this role will have no direct reports, you will collaborate with the Shift Manager and wider shifts in helping to drive a culture of continuous improvement, promoting a positive environment focused on safety, quality and performance to enable operational success. You will lead by example, ensuring site rules are adhered to and any unsafe or unacceptable behaviours are challenged or escalated.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you will be able to demonstrate previous experience of coordinating, collaborating and leading operational teams, ideally within a warehousing or 3PL environment. You will have strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and a proven track record of monitoring, measuring, and contributing to operational KPIs. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to form relationships internally and externally, possess excellent customer service skills, be a logical thinker and natural problem solver who can prioritise your own workload with efficiency and accuracy, and be able to adapt to operational changes.
WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?
With a genuine culture of reward and recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey. We offer a benefits package that includes competitive annual leave entitlement with a holiday buy scheme, pension and life assurance, and access to an employee benefits platform that offers discounts on gym memberships and money‑off vouchers for a diverse range of retail, travel and hospitality brands.
