The Manchester Deansgate Hotel, a modern luxury property located in the iconic Beetham Tower, seeks a dynamic Maintenance Assistant to join the IHG Hotels and Resorts family. The hotel features 279 rooms, a sky bar Cloud 23, a two‑rosette podium restaurant, indoor pool, fitness centre, 14 meeting rooms and over 1,800 square feet of event space. It will transition to the InterContinental brand by 2027.
Responsibilities
- Work behind the scenes to ensure a safe environment for guests and colleagues, carrying out ad‑hoc jobs and collaborating with other departments to identify and resolve problems. Experience as a Maintenance Assistant, Plumber, Electrician or Painter/Decorator within a hotel environment is preferred.
- Maintain compliance with H&S regulations, staying up‑to‑date with any changes and applying best safety practices. Knowledge of Health and Safety and a passion for maintaining a safe working environment is essential.
- Communicate effectively within your department, with other departments, guests and contractors. Strong communication skills and a result‑driven attitude are required.
