We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Children’s Community Health Care Assistant to join our Children’s Home Care Team.
Do you feel passionate about supporting children with complex needs? Would you like to make a real difference to children and young people in their own homes?
In this rewarding role, you will provide high-quality, individualized care to children and young people with varying and often complex health needs, some of whom may be technology dependent. You will work on a one-to-one basis, supporting children in their homes, schools or other community settings across Somerset.
Due to the wide geographical area we cover, you will be required to travel to the child’s location, which may involve journeys of over one hour (mileage allowance paid). Flexibility is essential as you will be part of a 24-hour, 365-day service.
You will receive comprehensive training tailored to the specific needs of each child, followed by a period of working alongside experienced team members to build confidence and competence in delivering care.
