About The Role

We are looking for an Extra Care Shift Leader to be based at Greenacres Court. This permanent part‑time role is 24.5 hours per week, rotating between early (starting at 7:30am) and late (finishing at 10:15pm) shifts, with every other weekend and some bank holidays.

Working in a vibrant community atmosphere, you will oversee a rota system and the delivery of care for adults with some care needs in self‑contained flats. The role includes supervising a team, ensuring quality care, maintaining consistent communication with colleagues, professionals, service users, families, and carers, and proactively resolving problems.

What is Extra Care

Extra Care Housing provides adults who have care needs with an assured tenancy in a self‑contained flat within a purpose‑built or adapted scheme. The service has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June 2022.

About You

Previous comprehensive experience supervising a team in a care setting is essential. A commitment to delivering quality care and a proactive, empathetic, and communicative approach are required. Candidates may come from nursing, learning disabilities, or health‑care backgrounds.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Must meet essential criteria for an Extra Care Shift Leader role.
  • Policy of prior consideration for redeployments on the council’s at‑risk register.
  • Subject to an enhanced DBS check.
