As Chef de Rang, you will play a key role in delivering refined and memorable dining experiences, ensuring each guest receives attentive, personalised service throughout their journey. More than simply serving food and beverages, you will create a sophisticated and engaging atmosphere, where every detail contributes to an exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional and attentive food and beverage service in line with brand standards
- Take ownership of a designated section, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Guide guests through the menu, providing knowledgeable recommendations on dishes and beverages
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate service
- Set up and maintain tables to the highest presentation standards
- Anticipate guest needs and respond proactively with a personalised approach
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address feedback with professionalism and care
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas throughout service
- Support junior team members, providing guidance and ensuring consistent service delivery
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and company policies and procedures
- Uphold impeccable standards of grooming, communication and service excellence
Core Competencies
- Previous experience in a Chef de Rang or food and beverage service role, ideally within a luxury hotel or high‑end restaurant
- Strong understanding of restaurant service standards and guest experience
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑standards environment
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a section effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and engaging approach
- Good knowledge of food and beverages, with a desire to continue learning
- A proactive mindset, anticipating guest needs and supporting the team
