Are you passionate about making a real difference in a child’s education and wellbeing? We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching and Learning Assistant to work 1:1 with pupils, helping them thrive both academically and personally.
In this rewarding role, you will support a child’s learning, confidence and independence, working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored programmes that enable meaningful participation in the curriculum. You will build a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil—celebrating their successes, encouraging their curiosity and helping them develop essential life and learning skills.
Training and development opportunities will be available to help you grow your expertise and confidence in the role.
Visits to school are encouraged; two time slots are available on 11 June 8:00am or 12 June 2:30pm. Please call the school office to arrange an appointment on 01246 864833.
For additional information, please contact the school by email at info@sharleypark.derbsyhire.sch.uk.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory references, pre-employment and Disclosure Barring Service checks.
The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
Applications should be made using the Derbyshire County Council website.
