Established in 1965, the Lockwood Group is a family run business and currently has over 400 employees spanning 8 UK sites. The group’s activities include UK haulage and storage, frozen food production and co-packing solutions. S&R Smith and Son, West Thurrock (part of the Lockwood Group of Companies) specialise in general haulage & distribution in and around the South East of England. New business developments on the horizon are allowing us to recruit experienced HGV drivers based from S&R Smith and Son, RM20 4EL.
Shift Pattern
Sunday – Thursday Nights
Hours and Pay
44 hours guaranteed pay per week, based on a full time working week. Hours may vary in accordance with business needs and reasonable additional hours may be required.
Rate
£17.00 per hour

The Role
- General Haulage
- To maintain excellent levels customer service
- To ensure accurate and timely communication with the Transport team
- To deliver goods in a timely and professional manner

Ideal Candidates would Meet the Following Requirements
- Candidates will be a fully qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver with a CPC, valid Digi card and a good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules.
- You will be reliable and punctual and have a flexible approach.
- Good verbal communication with excellent customer service skills and a professional approach.
- Previous Class 1 experience is preferred but not essential.
