Production Planner

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading food manufacturing business based in Dungannon to recruit a Production Planner.
Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating production activities, ensuring efficient factory utilisation and delivering exceptional customer service levels. Your day to day:
- Prepare daily production plans and forecasts for slaughter and boning operations.
- Coordinate factory resources including labour, facilities and packaging to maximise efficiency.
- Develop commercially focused weekly slaughter and boning schedules.
- Monitor production performance against plan and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled to agreed service levels.
- Maintain and update forecasting data and KPI reports.
- Work closely with production, operations and sales teams to optimise stock availability and minimise surplus inventory.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning and production functions.
Your essential ingredients:
- Previous experience in a Production Planner role within a fast-paced production environment.
- Experience within food manufacturing or meat processing would be highly advantageous.
- Strong planning, scheduling and analytical skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High level of attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence using Microsoft Office packages.
