Production Operative | Newtownards | Shiftwork | £16 – £18 per hour (plus OT)

Staffline is currently seeking production operatives to join our client, a leading dairy manufacturer, on a long-term temporary basis at their site in Newtownards.

Role:

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of various production lines on a rotational basis.

Duties:

• Keeping production lines running.
• Calibrating/programming machinery.
• Conducting quality checks.
• Checking products for defects.
• Preparing of goods for dispatch.
• Reporting breakdowns, spillages, etc.
• Forklift driving (if/when qualified).

Criteria:

• Flexible to work shifts.
• Previous warehouse/production experience preferred.
• Counterbalance forklift licence or willing to obtain one when in the post.

Hours of work:

• Long week = 46 hours per week (4 days)
• Short week = 34.5 hours per week (3 days)
• Rotational shifts from 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am.

Rate of pay:

• £16.20 per hour (rising to £17.37 after training)
• Overtime paid after 37 hours.
