Manufacturing Engineer

A rapidly growing clean technology company is developing next-generation electrochemical systems designed to accelerate the global transition to low-carbon energy. Combining materials innovation with scalable manufacturing, the organisation is advancing high-performance ceramic components for cutting-edge energy devices.

This is a hands-on role that will play a key part in supporting product quality, process improvement, and the implementation of quality management systems as the company continues to scale its operations. Working closely with Engineering, R&D, and Production teams, you will be responsible for analysing quality data, investigating issues, improving processes, and helping establish robust quality standards within a high-performance manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities – Manufacturing Engineer

  • Perform quality control inspections, testing, and verification activities to ensure product quality standards are met.
  • Analyse quality and process data to identify trends, deviations, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate non-conformances and support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.
  • Create, maintain, and improve quality documentation including SOPs, quality records, and technical reports.
  • Support process validation, scale-up activities, and the transition of products from development into production.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Participate in internal audits, compliance activities, and document control processes.
  • Present quality findings, performance metrics, and recommendations to senior management.

Experience and Skills – Manufacturing Engineer

  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, laboratory testing, or manufacturing quality environments.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret results and make evidence-based recommendations.
  • Excellent documentation and technical reporting skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working within regulated or high-quality manufacturing sectors such as batteries, electronics, advanced materials, or similar industries.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and exposure to ISO standards (implementation experience not essential).
  • Familiarity with analytical testing equipment and quality investigation methodologies.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Six Sigma or other continuous improvement training would be advantageous.
