HW Interim Solutions are supporting a major infrastructure organisation with the appointment of a Senior Commercial Manager to support the delivery of a significant portfolio of capital projects.

Reporting to the Group Head of Capital Projects, this role will provide commercial leadership, governance and support across a range of infrastructure and construction projects, whilst leading a small team of commercial professionals.

We are keen to speak with individuals who have experience operating within construction, civil engineering, utilities, rail, ports or wider infrastructure environments and who are comfortable balancing commercial governance with the practical realities of project delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Lead looking to step into a broader leadership role within a complex asset and infrastructure environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team of commercial professionals across a portfolio of projects
  • Supporting the commercial management of infrastructure and capital investment projects
  • Providing commercial governance, contract management and project controls oversight
  • Managing stakeholder relationships across project teams, contractors and internal customers
  • Supporting project delivery from procurement and contract award through to completion and handover
  • Ensuring commercial risks, opportunities and change are appropriately managed throughout the project lifecycle

We are keen to speak with individuals who can demonstrate:

  • Experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities, rail, ports or major infrastructure projects
  • Strong NEC contract knowledge and commercial management capability
  • Experience leading or mentoring Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers or project commercial teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A pragmatic, collaborative and delivery-focused approach
  • Experience working across multiple projects within a complex operational environment

Initial six-month FTC with strong potential for extension.
