Head of Maintenance – Care Home

Job Summary

As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you will ensure a clean, well‑maintained environment so residents feel at home and staff can perform their duties effectively. You will maintain the building, gardens and grounds, handling a wide range of tasks from fixing a leaky tap to planting bulbs.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and lead a maintenance team.
• Support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
• Liaise with contractors for work beyond the team’s expertise.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience in property maintenance with at least one trade skill and a proven ability to perform a range of duties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• IT literacy.
• GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
