What the job involves
- As a Backend Software Engineer, you’ll support the build of elegant, performant, maintainable, operable, and secure Golang microservices
- The role is to support the integration of Curve into LBG and the launch of the Lloyds Wallet and Pi3 too
- You’ll help design and architect our systems, contribute to continuous improvement, and play a key role in making the engineering team the best it can be
- You’ll be delivering clean, architecturally sound and maintainable server-side code (and if you’ve got full-stack experience, that’s a definite plus)
- You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to build, measure and learn as you help shape a world-class product
- You’ll partner with product and engineering managers to keep refining how we build and ship, and you’ll help the team push through roadblocks so features land as effectively as possible
- Along the way, you’ll guide design discussions and help balance flexibility, speed, scalability and performance
- You’ll also champion new technologies, promote strong development practices, and keep an eye on what’s coming next—proactively (but pragmatically) tackling technical debt
