Site Manager / Senior Site Manager

As a Site Manager you will manage, control and support the engineering, construction and completion of projects on time and on budget for a project based in Leeds, reporting to the Project Manager and becoming an integral member of the construction team.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a complex construction process, including mechanical & electrical installations.
  • Ensuring appropriate quality records are produced and monitored to verify compliance with specification requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety Management Plan, BAM Operating Procedures and Construction Phase Management Plan.
  • Working to programme and associated deadlines.
  • Setting up and monitoring handover schedules, keys, spares and completion documentation.
  • Implementing BAM construction environmental procedures on site.
  • Keeping site diaries including subcontractor attendance and progress records.
  • Managing direct and subcontractor packages and maintaining associated records.
  • Providing input on buildability issues as required.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering high‑quality construction projects.
  • Experience working on various types of construction projects.
  • Broad construction‑based technical experience.
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification, preferably SMSTS.
  • Comfortable with IT packages and systems.
  • Self‑motivation and ability to work autonomously.
  • Good communication skills.
  • HNC/Degree, MCIOB or equivalent, or a trade background.
  • Full driving licence.
