We’re looking for an experienced data professional with a passion for creating scalable, high-quality data models that support critical business, regulatory and analytical capabilities.
Qualifications
- Expert conceptual, logical and physical data modelling with experience implementing at enterprise scale.
- Solid experience with metadata management toolsets, such as ER Studio, Erwin or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of Finance Data Classes, including awareness of key data concepts across financial asset classes.
- Knowledge of financial services data governance and regulatory frameworks, such as BCBS 239.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
- Familiarity with data lineage, data quality, and master data management (MDM) practices.
Responsibilities
To design, implement, and maintain conceptual, Logical and Physical data models that meet business data/process and technology requirements, by using designs and data strategies across a wide selection of platforms.
- Analysis and documentation of business requirements to translate them into data models aligned with organisational goals.
- Development and maintenance of data dictionaries and glossaries to define data elements and their usage.
- Analysis and monitoring of data usage patterns to identify opportunities for data optimisation and improvement, in partnership with the Data Base Administrator.
- Strategic architecture definition and product selection.
- Production of logical designs in relevant subject areas (technical, data, operational), illustrating processes, objects, data flows, inputs, stored data and outputs, and identifying common components.
- Implementation of architectures and identification, ownership and resolution of design related issues.
- Definition and documentation of data architecture standards, principles and strategies.
