We’re looking for an experienced data professional with a passion for creating scalable, high-quality data models that support critical business, regulatory and analytical capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Expert conceptual, logical and physical data modelling with experience implementing at enterprise scale.
  • Solid experience with metadata management toolsets, such as ER Studio, Erwin or equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of Finance Data Classes, including awareness of key data concepts across financial asset classes.
  • Knowledge of financial services data governance and regulatory frameworks, such as BCBS 239.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
  • Familiarity with data lineage, data quality, and master data management (MDM) practices.

Responsibilities

To design, implement, and maintain conceptual, Logical and Physical data models that meet business data/process and technology requirements, by using designs and data strategies across a wide selection of platforms.

  • Analysis and documentation of business requirements to translate them into data models aligned with organisational goals.
  • Development and maintenance of data dictionaries and glossaries to define data elements and their usage.
  • Analysis and monitoring of data usage patterns to identify opportunities for data optimisation and improvement, in partnership with the Data Base Administrator.
  • Strategic architecture definition and product selection.
  • Production of logical designs in relevant subject areas (technical, data, operational), illustrating processes, objects, data flows, inputs, stored data and outputs, and identifying common components.
  • Implementation of architectures and identification, ownership and resolution of design related issues.
  • Definition and documentation of data architecture standards, principles and strategies.
