Civil Site Engineer

Astute’s Renewable Team is partnering with a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector to recruit a Civil Site Engineer for its Glasgow site.

The role offers a salary of £60,000 – £70,000, private healthcare and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out duties and oversee daily site engineering activities, ensuring works are delivered accurately and to the required standards.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of civil construction activities in accordance with drawings, specifications and RAMS.
• Work closely with site management, subcontractors and project stakeholders to coordinate works and address technical queries.
• Promote and maintain high health & safety standards through site inspections, audits and accurate record keeping.
• Support project reporting, quality assurance processes and the completion of project documentation.

Professional Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• CSCS card (Engineering or above).
• Experience using CAD.

Personal Skills

• Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering, infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong setting out capabilities and confidence interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Sound understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices within a construction environment.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across project teams.
• A well‑organised, proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.

Salary & Benefits

• £60,000 – £70,000 salary.
