Sandwell Council’s HR Division is seekinga talented and motivatedData Analytics Officerto join its team on afull‑time, six‑month fixed‑term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and strengthen our workforce reporting and insight capability while working in ahybridenvironment.Please note:this vacancy is not open to interim or daily‑rate contractors.
This role will play a key part in enhancing ourHR reporting capability, with a strong focus on developingPower BI dashboards and creating workforce insights.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to transform data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making across the Council.
In this role you will:
Develop, maintain and enhancePower BI dashboardsto support the transition fromExcel‑based workforce reports and dashboards. Extract, cleanse and validate data fromOracle Fusionand other relevant data sources. Translate complex data intoclear, actionable insightsto support senior leaders and strategic decision-making. Support the production ofstandardised reportsfor routine management information and key performance indicators. Work collaboratively withHR, Finance and service areasto understand business needs and reporting requirements. Ensuredata quality, accuracy and compliancewith data governance standards.
