About The Role

Archaeological Research Services Ltd are recruiting experienced Archaeologists from Archaeological Officer through to Senior Project Officer level for work on a variety of projects around the UK, attached to one of our offices in Bedford, Cheltenham, Bakewell, Sheffield, Sale or Tyneside. We have positions available for an immediate start. We particularly welcome candidates based in the Gloucestershire Area.

Experienced Archaeological Officers: £27,200 – £27,800Assistant Project Officers: £29,931-£32,000Project Officers: £33,852- £38,800

Permanent positions following successful six-month probation.

Successful candidates will have experience of taking part in field projects, contributing to post‑excavation work, a sound knowledge of UK archaeology and the ability to write accurate, clear English. For more senior positions you need to be an effective leader, motivator and manager of a team. You need to be a highly competent field archaeologist, with experience of organising and running field projects, surveying and GIS, completing post‑excavation work and producing high quality reports for a wide range of projects.
