About The Role
Hippo is a digital consultancy focused on building and delivering transformative digital solutions for public and private sector clients. We are recruiting a Senior Data Analyst to join our team. This role will support the delivery of data analysis services to clients, ensuring data quality and leading analytical thinking within projects.
Your Role in a Nutshell
- Draw actionable insights from multiple, large data sources and communicate these effectively through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Engage with client stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate these into clear requirements for analysis.
- Identify opportunities for advanced analytics techniques (e.g. predictive modeling and machine learning) to provide additional value.
- Use robust statistical techniques and communicate your methodology to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Apply tools and techniques for data analysis and visualization using business intelligence tools.
- Understand data platforms and pipelines conceptually and identify data quality issues.
- Be involved in the recruitment and onboarding of other analysts, supporting their professional development.
- Promote Hippo’s Herd internally and externally through blogs, case studies, and workshops.
About the Candidate
We are looking for a seasoned professional who can lead data analysis work, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Essential Experience
- A proven track record as a data analyst with extensive experience exploring and presenting data for users.
- Expert skills in data cleansing, analysis, modeling and visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
- Experience working with large, complex data warehouses and/or data lakes.
- Familiarity with cloud‑based analytics platforms such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in SQL and languages such as R or Python, including relevant frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to advise on complex client requirements.
- Mentoring and coaching skills with a passion for up‑skilling junior analysts.
Desirable Experience
- Public sector or consultancy experience.
- Experience with automated data pipeline tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow).

Location
Headquartered in Leeds with offices in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Bristol. Candidates must be located within reasonable travelling distance from one of our offices and be willing to work on‑site at a Hippo office or client location for at least two days per week. We offer relocation support up to £8,000.
