Shopify Middleware Backend Engineer

Job Description

Design and develop middleware and backend solutions using Shopify Hydrogen framework with a headless approach. Implement UI designs by integrating Figma into projects. Develop scalable backend services using Golang, NestJS, and TypeScript. Work with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB databases to manage data efficiently. Build and maintain GraphQL APIs for seamless data querying. Utilize AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, RDS, S3, Step Functions, SNS, and SQS to deploy and manage cloud-native applications. Containerize applications using Docker for consistent deployment environments. Develop and maintain Golang microservices ensuring high performance and reliability.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with frontend and design teams to implement headless Shopify solutions using Hydrogen framework.
• Translate Figma designs into functional components and integrate them effectively.
• Architect, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Ensure robust database design and optimize queries for performance.
• Implement and manage AWS infrastructure components to support backend services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Continuously explore and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency and product quality.
