Join our Power Transmission and Distribution team as an Underground Cable Project Engineer on our Operational Team and you’ll deliver complex work that matters to the business and to the world. This position will be working on the Longside project based near Aberdeen.
Key Responsibilities
- Formalise and specify a delivery solution.
- Brief out the solution to the working party and ensure it is followed and completed.

- Manage, monitor and motivate a multi‑skilled team of engineers, subcontractors and other construction experts.
- Take responsibility for smaller projects or sections of larger projects.
- Set performance targets and carry out analysis to ensure the team works to the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Be involved in the procurement of subcontractors.
- Benefit from the scale and diversity by progressing quickly and exploring professional passions and established career paths.
- Develop and deliver engineered solutions and brief to the working party.
- Safely and sustainably deliver activity to programme, cost and quality.
- Monitor and record works to ensure compliance in a timely manner.
- Support and develop an environment where the working party can thrive and succeed.
- Effectively manage and care for the people delivering the work.
Qualifications
- Experience and a track record in delivering underground cable projects.
- Experience supporting large infrastructure projects within the industry.
- Knowledge and experience of Project Management methodology.
- Strong people‑management commercial awareness with knowledge of both budgetary and financial control.
- Excellent relationship‑management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
