Java Developer – Hedge Fund 2-7 YOE

Hiring a Java Developer to build and enhance high-performance trading and trade processing systems used in real-time financial environments.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex concurrency, scalability, and low-latency challenges across distributed systems.

What You’ll Work On

• Designing and developing multi-threaded Java applications
• Building scalable trade processing and transaction platforms
• Optimising performance for high-throughput systems
• Working with real-time data and event-driven architectures
• Enhancing reliability, resiliency, and system observability
• Collaborating with traders, quants, and engineering teams

Required Experience

• 2 + years of core Java development experience
• Deep understanding of concurrency and multithreading
• Experience with trade processing, OMS, EMS, or financial platforms
• Knowledge of distributed systems and messaging technologiesStrong problem-solving and performance tuning skills
• Experience working in agile engineering teams

Nice to Have

• Kafka, Solace, or MQ experience
• Capital markets or electronic trading experience
