Role Overview
As a Software Engineer on the Counter Party Integrations team, you will build a global FX and payments engine that delivers smart routing and orchestration reliability across the cloud‑native stack. You will work with .NET, Azure, Kafka and legacy systems to optimise applications for modern cloud deployment.
Responsibilities
- Integrate new third‑party providers for payment, FX and other transactional activities.
- Modernise and containerise existing applications for Azure and/or Kubernetes deployment.
- Build new cloud‑native event‑driven applications.
- Ensure applications are cloud‑ready without unnecessary rewrites.
- Upgrade applications to the latest .NET versions.
- Refactor code to improve reliability and support stable migrations.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with .NET 6–8 and C#.
- Deep understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Azure (or AWS) cloud‑based architecture.
- Proficiency in Docker and containerisation.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining Web APIs.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Kafka and/or Azure Service Bus for messaging and event‑driven processing.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
- Understanding of WinForms & WCF for maintaining legacy applications.
- Understanding of .NET Framework and the migration path to .NET Core.
- Experience with design patterns for long‑running distributed processes.
