SHS Family Support Practitioner (School‑based)
Location: Trinity Academy, Brixton SW2 1QS
Hours: 5 days per week, Term Time Only + inset days
Salary: £25,003 – £27,525 per annum (term‑time only)

This is a permanent position starting in September.

Responsibilities
As the Family Support Practitioner you will be based at the setting and work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework that promotes and improves educational outcomes for children and their families. You will focus on improving attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning, and build strong relationships with schools and communities.
Required Experience and Skills
- Experience working in an education setting or similar to improve a child’s school attendance and engagement in learning
- Experience engaging with parents/carers, children or individuals through individual and/or group-based support
- Knowledge of factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn
- Experience working with families from diverse communities
- Understanding of holistic family support
- Knowledge of safeguarding processes and referral routes for safeguarding children
