Firvale – Staff Nurse (Band 5)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward‑thinking Paediatric or Learning Disability nurse, ideally with community experience, to join our Team at Firvale. The role involves providing high‑quality clinical care for children and young people with complex health needs and learning disabilities in a four‑bedded health unit.
Main duties
Maintain a positive, stimulating and safe environment for patients and families. Deliver clinical care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health team, support child development, and participate in peer support and continuous professional development. Work within an inter‑agency framework to meet the health and social care needs of children, young people and their families.
Flexible working
This position offers flexible and part‑time working arrangements, with all requests considered.
Training and qualifications
- Professional UK registration (e.g., RSCN, RN – Child, RN – Learning Disability)
Experience and knowledge
- Experience working in an acute paediatric healthcare environment or residential care settings such as children’s hospice, planned respite unit or special school settings.
Skills and abilities
- Clinical skills appropriate to the relevant area.

Salary: £32,073 to £39,043 per annum pro rata.
