About the role
Consultant in Restorative Dentistry – permanent, 10 PA post at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC). The post holder will work within a large, well‑established Department of Restorative Dentistry, providing specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment, with a focus on hypodontia service as part of a Multi‑Disciplinary Team. Opportunities exist for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, quality improvement and research.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment in Restorative Dentistry.
- Contribute to the hypodontia service within the Multi‑Disciplinary Team, including advice, treatment plans, and where appropriate, direct treatment.
- Take an active role in teaching and training postgraduate dentists to specialist level.
- Support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, quality improvement activity, and research.
Qualifications
- Full GDC registration.
- Completed specialist training in Restorative Dentistry and be on the GDC Specialist Register, or have a CCST date within six months of interview.
- High level of knowledge and expertise in Restorative Dentistry, with ability to undertake clinical activity in related disciplines as required.
