Vascular Doctor / Medical Doctor – Private Clinic

Role Overview: We are seeking a Vascular Doctor/Medical Doctor to support our growing demand for varicose vein and thread vein treatments across multiple locations including Reading, Bicester, Swindon, and Basingstoke. The role requires a commitment of 2 days per week, with flexibility on days.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose varicose and thread veins during initial consultation appointments.
• Explain treatment options, answer patient questions, and provide clinical recommendations.
• Deliver thread vein treatment for patients where varicose veins are not present.
• Conduct follow‑up appointments, assess patient outcomes, and perform brief ultrasound scans to confirm closure.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the clinic’s patient app software.
• Collaborate with vascular scientists, senior clinical leadership, and colleagues to triage cases and attend specialty meetings.
• Provide a reassuring, compassionate, and welcoming service to patients.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Medical Degree and valid license to practice in the United Kingdom.
• DBS check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred but Not Required

• Experience diagnosing and treating varicose veins.
• General practice experience.
• Knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques.
