Interim Media Relations Manager | FTC | Central London
We’re looking for an immediately available media relations maestro to protect and build reputation for a major international business.
Interim Media Relations Manager Role: Global Business
This is a strong Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) opportunity for an experienced external communications professional to step in and add immediate value. You’ll be the kind of practitioner who relishes a challenge and thrives in the thick of a crisis, bringing commercial acumen and reputational judgement in spades.
Equally comfortable under media scrutiny as you are advising executive teams, you’ll need plenty of resilience, but you’ll be rewarded with the ability to move the organisational needle from day one.
Reporting Line and Team Leadership
Acting as a de facto chief of staff to the Corporate Affairs Director, you’ll have significant autonomy while benefiting from the support of a well-resourced function. Prior line management experience is important, as you’ll be leading a team.
This is a well-regarded international business with a strong, longstanding reputation in its industries and beyond. It needs both a steady hand and an injection of new ideas in its external profile.
Contract Length, Location and Travel
You’ll need to spend at least two days per week in a central London office. The assignment is initially for four months, with some international travel required.
External Communications Experience Required
To be considered, you’ll bring deep external comms and media relations experience, a track record in crisis and reputation management, executive counsel credentials, and prior line management exposure.
We are committed to equality of opportunity for all.
