2391 Electrician (Test & Inspect Engineer)

Location: HMP Rochester | ME1

Salary: £43,177.30

Contract: Full Time | Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Test and Inspect Engineer to join our team at HMP Rochester, a CATEGORY C/YOI & Male prison. As a Test and Inspect Engineer you will work alongside experienced colleagues (Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators) to provide a safe and secure environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least five years experience working as an electrician
• Two years experience in a role as a test and inspection electrician or equivalent
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems and catering equipment
• Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
• Strong communication skills
• Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office Excel and Word
• Experience working under pressure to tight deadlines
• Completed C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation)
• Completed C&G 2391 – Electrical inspection and testing
• NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
• 18th Edition knowledge
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
