Maintenance Engineer (Mobile)

Location: Northwest Midlands (Based from HMP Stafford – covering regional sites)

Contract: Permanent | Full-time 39 hours per week (08:00–17:00) + 1 in 4 weekends (15% shift allowance)

Salary: £30,231 – £33,381 + additional payments for additional skills + van & fuel card

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites
• Support a range of building systems and compliance tasks
• Act as an Authorised Person (training provided)
• Follow safety and security procedures
• Take part in an on‑call and weekend rota

Qualifications

• A relevant trade qualification or maintenance experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Basic health & safety and IT awareness

Experience in areas such as fire safety, emergency lighting, water checks or general compliance would be beneficial but not essential.
