Highway Project Engineer

Location: Glastonbury, CTA well-established, 100% employee-owned engineering firm is seeking an experienced Highway Project Engineer to join its growing transportation team. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on transportation infrastructure projects
• Lead the development of roadway and transportation design plans
• Serve as a task lead and contribute to mentoring junior staff
• Prepare full design packages or key components of larger projects
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure project accuracy and compliance
• Participate in client meetings and represent the firm in external settings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• PE license required
• 5-10 years of roadway design and transportation engineering experience
• Experience working with State DOTs; municipal experience a plus
• Exposure to Complete Streets or multimodal design preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with clients
• Experience with proposals, scope development, and budgeting is a plus
