Job Overview

Airco is looking to recruit an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Engineer to support our growing Engineering team in Swindon. The role will involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance, responding to service calls and supporting a prestigious client base across pharmaceuticals, petrochemical, telecoms, education, IT, retail, healthcare and local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Mobile engineer
• Effectively diagnose, identify faults and failures with equipment and systems, providing effective solutions
• Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance
• Work to the highest standards of workmanship and safety
• Conduct & promote best practice
• Take part in 24‑hour call‑out rota
• Assist in site surveys, reports and quotes for new & existing customers

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, F‑Gas/EN 378 compliant
• Proficient technical knowledge in refrigeration & electrical principles
• Hands‑on experience with VRV systems, cold rooms, close control units, chilled water systems and chillers
• Fault‑finding experience on a range of equipment, including data centre cooling & water chillers
• Good understanding of industry standards, legislation and compliance requirements
• Positive and pro‑active approach
• Well‑organised and effective communicator
• High level of professionalism & customer service
• Flexible
• Driving licence
• DBS check
