Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Working on several projects simultaneously, collaborating with the client, architect, and other engineering consultants to determine the best facade design outcomes
  • Producing sketches, drawings, and specification deliverables, coordinated with other parties and ensuring a high standard of work
  • Supporting the team with technical analysis, including structural calculations and thermal and condensation assessment
  • Representing the company at workshops, design team meetings, and site meetings with clients and collaborators
  • Showing curiosity about emerging technologies, materials, and methods, and applying this knowledge when contributing to client solutions
  • Supporting and carrying out site observations, factory visits, witnessing mock‑ups and testing, and preparing technical reports
  • Contributing to internal R&D initiatives and producing technical notes

Qualifications

  • A degree in engineering or architecture, and preferably a relevant postgraduate degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of the engineering aspects of facades
  • Good understanding of design parameters for a wide range of different materials
  • Strong sketching and drawing skills using CAD software, as well as 3D modelling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to shared project outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and deliver work to agreed timelines
  • Working knowledge of digital design / modelling software
  • Exposure to structural analysis software, glass selection tools, building physics assessments, and environmental analysis
  • Experience with Revit and CAD software
  • Awareness of architectural design considerations in facade engineering
  • Willingness to travel
  • US right to work and be based in the US
