Job Summary
About the role: Join MDJV’s Technical Assurance team to support delivery of HS2 Curzon Street Station. You will work across civils, MEP, OT/IT and software assurance, helping prepare Single Assurance Packs (SAPs), contribute to Technical Assurance Reviews (TARs) and Certification Packs, support commissioning and apply AI tools to improve productivity, traceability and evidence quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support preparation, review and evidence management for SAPs, inputs to TARs and Certification Packs; ensure evidence maps to acceptance criteria.
- Plan, witness and record inspections, FAT/SAT and commissioning tests for physical systems and integrated software/control systems.
- Review concise test/inspection checklists, NCRs, punch lists and remedial action tracking; ensure items link to SAP/TAR evidence.
- Validate as-built/BIM deliverables and key software artefacts (requirements, test logs, configuration records) for handover readiness.
- Assist in producing TAR inputs and concise assurance summaries for stakeholders.
- Use AI/LLM tools to draft checklists, extract test/certification requirements from specs, generate test scaffolds and cluster defects—apply reviewer gates and versioned traceability.
- Feed assurance data into QMS/BIM/CI‑CD toolchains and dashboards; support stakeholder reviews, design reviews and assurance boards.
- Follow HS2 technical standards, CDM and MDJV quality/safety procedures and applicable cyber/OT governance.
Technical Skills And Competencies
- Use structured prompt templates and reviewer workflows when using LLMs to draft SAP/TAR content, checklists and test cases.
- Convert requirements/user stories into candidate tests or inspection templates; human‑validate before use.
- Prioritise recurring/high‑risk defects for TARs and Certification Packs and produce concise summaries for decision‑makers.
- Maintain prompt library, versioning and simple governance; measure impact on KPIs (inspection cycle time, NCR closure time, automation coverage).
Qualifications, Certifications And Experience
- Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical), Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Basic knowledge of QA/commissioning or software testing fundamentals; comfortable with technical drawings/BIM and basic software concepts (version control, APIs).
- Proficient with digital tools (MS365, mobile inspection apps); able to learn QMS/BIM/test management systems.
- Good written/verbal communication; able to work on‑site and complete site safety requirements.
- Internship or project work on rail, infrastructure or software projects.
- Exposure to MEP commissioning, OT/IT systems (BMS/SCADA), test automation or CI/CD concepts.
- Familiarity with BIM tools, document/assurance evidence management and HS2 processes.
