Overview

Lead Commission Engineer responsible for commissioning security and access control systems for some of the UK’s largest utility companies. The role supports business development during a period of significant growth, involves extensive field work across the UK, and requires frequent travel away from home.

Qualifications

• 17th / 18th Edition Certification
• Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card
• National Grid Person – Substation
• National Grid Competent Person – Substation
• EUSR Safety Health and Environmental Awareness – Gas
• Safe Control of Operations 1 & 2 (SCO 1 & 2) – Gas
• Safe Control of Operations 91 (SCO 91) – Gas
• Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Basic IT literacy
• Observational skills for health, safety and quality issues
• Ability to recognise, manage and shift priorities in a high‑pressure environment
• Fixed‑is safe‑first attitude and professional approach
• Flexibility during periods of change
• Ability to elicit cooperation from senior management, clients and other departments
